Hello! I’m Jack Byers, an engineer based in New York City.

I’m currently a staff software engineer at Oden Technologies. We’re building a data platform to help manufacturers make things more efficiently.

I work primarily on our backend with a focus on data infrastructure (Postgres, Clickhouse, Redis) and our custom query language, Oden Query Language (OQL), a SQL-like DSL for aggregating manufacturing data.

Before Oden, I worked at Boeing Research & Technology, developing a robotics system for detecting defects in carbon fiber as well as a system for real-time analysis and visualization of aircraft manufacturing (U.S. Patent No. 10317870).

I like to spend my free time exercising, watching or playing sports, tinkering, and spending time with friends and family.
